About the Artist
Background: Born in Sunderland in 1952. Followed the sciences route through school and gained a Computer sciences degree at Manchester University. I worked in IT for 35 years and am now retired.
Art Experience :Despite the technical background I have always felt the need to create pictures from an early age and taught myself to draw by copying other pictures and photographs from Yogi bear and Fred Flintstone in the early years through to children portraits in later years. So it was only as retirement beckoned that I decided to improve style and technique through night school classes (Nigel Morris ) and more recently classes at Staacks (Derek King) and WKAG ( Joe McGillivray )
